About The Mix

The track list here is built around Ollie Brooke's "Love, Lies,Life (Erefaan Pearce Instrumental), the statuesque assurance and intensity actually shook me. All tracks in the package are superb, and on first listen I was taken by a Matt Bandy rmx, but Erefaan's contribution stands way up above his fellow galacticos rmxs.

The mix itself, tracks one and two are soulful acoustic and expansive with superb vocals, three is all about Roland Clark's voice, grainy soulful and passionate laid out across a nice deep African groove. Sticking with the Deep African house groove DJ Tessen pays tribute to The Urban Beat, South Africa's hugely influential radio show.
Track five is yer man on the way to stardom, followed by Edmund dropping a sophisticated tune on us, so good..so damn good, this is deep house at it's zenith. The mix takes a little detour into a couple of avant garde jazzy tracks from Pooley & Parker (Kinderteller) and Guti & Dubshape with the fabulously titled "Every Cow Has a Bird/Bueno".
Da Funk deliver the expansive tech driven "Tranquilandia", a real favourite of mine for a while now, closing out with Kevin Yost & Peter Funk's superb "Trust", the track has everything we've come to expect from these guys.
