So there's a thread for suggestions and errors but I'd like to get some discussion going on new features and functions as I add them.
Please don't use this thread for suggestions of new features, just for feedback on new functions and suggestions on how to improve them...
I'll just post the details of the function or tweak as I do it and if you have any comments etc just reply here...

So today I added a function that suggests similar mixes to the one you're viewing based on the styles selected for the mix you're currently viewing. It will display up to 5 randomly selected mixes here the first (primary) tag is the same and the other 2 tags exist in any order...

When you post a new mix to the site you'll get a private message once it's been approved.
This message contains some very valuable information about where to post your mix to get the most listens and it also contains the BB code for any forums you want to post the mix in...

chat now updates every 3 seconds instead of every second, requested by my host

def like 10 mixes there...so many mixes go up now that it's hard to remember them once they go off the main page

Just remembered the idea of an all-time top 10 list taken from the PureHouseMusic.net track database... any word on that?

Tweaked the mini chat, now it shows messages as old as 5 minutes but never more than 20 messages in total, also, it only ever displays one "Guest enters..." message

There's a 'Share' button right above the now playing track, and it's pretty damn sensitive and tends to get in the way.

Mp3 Player I reckon the old one is better due to the reason it shows you the title artist information. This new one when you click on a track just shows the song number and you have to scroll down to find the information. Is this just happening to me?

Created a "Fans" function, you can now become a fan of any artist or user on this site

I overhauled the chart algorithim to account for the tracks that are added as part of the artists feature, SQL to follow!

Here's the SQL for the chart.

"SELECT subject, (AVG(rating) COUNT(subject) - (($now-(AVG(date)))/(60*60*24*3))) AS averageRating FROM v3ratings WHERE subject > 1000 AND type = 'track' AND userid NOT LIKE '0' GROUP BY subject ORDER BY (averageRating) DESC LIMIT 1000"

where $now is the current UNIX time. The part that goes "subject > 1000" is to remove all of the old tracks from being included as the ratings system wasn't in play properly back then...
I guess this makes is "open source"!
