Yet another re-working of (the now) perennial Ollie Brooke track 'Hello Mr Robot'. Re-released on Next Dimension Music - a label naming that actually appears warranted: they're walking the walk, not just talking the talk. Tech house with a definite soulful underbelly is what's on display on this EP.. with original productions from Discal, and Da-Milio both hitting the spot for me. But. of course, Mr PureHouseMusic.net gets the top drafting here - Alvaro Kantes adding distorted synth-bass stabs, with snare-heavy drums providing an abrasive yet grooving rhythmic bed.. both elements letting the various melodic synths communicate with each other. An elongated breakdown builds tension, and finally a wonderfully raw, unprocessed 808 kick (reminiscent of 80s band New Order) steps in to take the intensity up a few notches. As subtle and simple as it is spiritual and addictive, this is another worthy re-visit of Ollie's original. And i'm positive Mr Brooke will agree!
